Information for autonomous pilots concerning the paragliding site of Roquebrune-Cap-Martin

The Roquebrune Cap Martin flight site is a very popular site in the Nice region for its exceptional landscape as well as for these winter flight conditions. Indeed, the site being located on the French Riviera, its climate is mild in winter and allows thermal flight while the rest of France is in the cold and with non-existent thermal conditions.

The take-off site of Roquebrune is Mont Gros, it is accessible with a shuttle or by car. You arrive on a large car park which serves the take-off accessible in 5 minutes on foot. The take-off from Mont Gros is at an altitude of 678m and the landing is on the Golfe Bleu beach in the town of Roquebrune Cap Martin.

Paragliding take-off is authorized from November 16 to April 30 inclusive without time restrictions. The site is also practicable the rest of the year but with defined time slots that you can find on the FFVL website.

The site offers the possibility of flying with South-West, South, South-East and East wind orientations.

The shuttle that takes you to take-off can be activated by telephone on 08 00 74 05 38 or online on the Zestbus website. The shuttle is available every day except Tuesday and Wednesday. It costs 4€ for a climb or 10€ for the day of flight, i.e. 4 lifts.

The paragliding shuttle to the Roquebrune Cap Martin site passes at the following times: 9:30 a.m., 11:15 a.m., 2:00 p.m. and 3:30 p.m., the departure is near the residence "le golfe bleu" next to the landing zone.
